Meeting opened at 10:30 A M Connies Restaurant
Members present : Mike Benjamin, Verna Gabel, Stephen Drinkard, Fred Darnell
Visitor: Frank Cafferty
Review and discussion regarding proposal from Jim Hutchens, C P A . Frank was asked to attend so the Board could get information on how Northside Water does their billings, receives payments and what reports they find useful. Decision was postponed on Hutchens’ proposal until we get more information on what we need and don’t need.
Fred to ask Tammy to mail a list of the Certificate Holders to each Board member.
Sample of tags for valve markers was approved. Fred will order a total of 50.
Leak was discovered and repaired at top of Pine St, near Pence connection to system. An old pressure tank was found buried and leaking badly. No one seems to know why it was there. Pence meter was relocated to near where their connection to the main is, at the edge of road right-of-way. Tucker will upgrade the system map to show change.
Mike is making progress in figuring out Ground Radar unit. We hope to fully understand how it works in a few days.
Stephen to check with D E Q to see if grant money is available for system improvements – i.e. – replacement of Cement Asbestos pipe
By-Laws were discussed – Stephen will make changes and upgrade website. He will document changes and bring to next board meeting.
