Meeting opened by President Mike Benjamin at 4:00 P M
Board Members present: Drinkard, Cafferty, Gable, Darnell
This special board meeting was called to discuss our application to D E Q for
“Water Supply and Storage Facility Plan for the Syringa Heights Water District.
The District had contracted with Sewell Engineering on November 20, 2014 to complete the application phase by submitting and having accepted by D E Q Form 5-A, which is the beginning document of the process, which is hoped to ultimately result in approvals by D E Q for upgrading the system and qualifying for a grant or loan to accomplish the work.
This form was submitted to D E Q by Sewell on August 3, 2016 and was reviewed and commented on by letter from D E Q on April 12, 2017.
Sewell had agreed to accomplish the Form 5 A completion phase for $35000.00 , to be split equally by D E Q and the District.
The comment letter from D E Q asked for completion/clarification of several items which is required by them so we can move on to the next phase, “ Environmental Information Document”.
It was decided at this meeting that it would be advisable to arrange a meeting with Sewell to discuss this comment letter as soon as possible, as additional funds that may be required are still available if we qualify for them.
A meeting with Sewell has been arranged by Mike Benjamin for Tuesday, April 25th at 1 PM.
