Meeting opened by President Mike Benjamin at 4 PM
Board Members present: Drinkard, Gabel, Cafferty, Darnell
Stephen presented board with water samples from Sandpoint and Dover. After a blind taste test, all members decidedly chose Dover best. Clarity, texture and all around good feel in the mouth, as well as taste were cited.
Fred to send City of Dover a request for the latest State test results on their water, Also ask for information on their new connection costs and monthly billing breakdown.
Mike asked about Kimberly Marshall account. Certificate # 63 was transferred to Lydia Render , P O Box 2044, Sandpoint.
Discussion Re: Single family lots with multiple use locations. We have 5 being billed for more than one resident use, and one classified as Duplex. Monthly rates vary. The Board was asked to review and give thought to how or if these should be revised going forward. This will be addressed as old business at the Dec meeting.
December meeting will be review of 2016 budget and set up for 2017 budget. Board members are asked to print out the current budget from the website and have for Dec. meeting. Frank will have expense spreadsheet for review of 2016 expenses.
Mike to contact Angela Oakes to determine if she has a leak since water use is so high. Also he will ask about payment.
Discussion was held Re: Connection fee adjustment. This will be revisited at Dec meeting.
Financial report: 11-7-16 MM $198,988.67 Ckg $45,836.94 . In period 5-10-16 thru 11-7-16 (6 months) total gain after expenses was $25,010.96. These funds are generally in the reserve account for upgrades and replacement of system as need arises. It is anticipated that after the Sewell study is completed and approved by DEQ, that upgrades will be required. The more we have on hand, the less we will need to borrow. Stephen mentioned we should review our basic monthly fee to confirm its validity.
