Meeting Minutes

Meeting opened by Pres Mike Benjamin at 4:05 PM

Board members present : Drinkard – Gable – Darnell

Visitors: Frank Cafferty – Tim Blankenship

 

Tim gave a review as to the status of work Sewell Engr. is doing on our behalf. Several options were presented.

Also, do we want to solicit new connections or have a system in place for connections as need be. Tim to continue to analyze options and advise later. Maybe notify adjacent property owners that connections may be available to see what interest there is. We can decide on that at next meeting.

Discussion re: Dover being our water supplier. Fred will contact Bill Strand and Annie Shaha to try to set up a meeting with them.

Discussion re: fee for connections. Tim will analyze and comment. Existing fee is based on (1) what prior private sales were and (2) establishing an equity amount for new connections. This was based on an assumed value of 3 million dollars divided by 200 users = $15,000.00 .Financial report.   Savings $143821.67 and checking $14,123.16.

 

Balance on   2-13-14 $102,615.00

Balance on   2 -9- 15 $161385.00. We added $59,000.00 to reserves in one year.

 

The board approved a revised budget that was presented by Stephen then rescinded it for further review. Discussion on whether we should continue to accrue reserves or lower rates and face the cost of major repairs when they happen. Will discuss again next month. We will operate on last years budget until new budget issues are resolved.

 

Fred will get the 1099’s out ASAP. Hopefully this week.

 

Water loss for January was 126,921 gallons.   ($367.00)

 

Pump repairs were $4383.33

 

Frank will file the annual tax return as needed.
